The General Report of Activities for 2004

1-    publishing and distributing the pamphlets of children's stories in kurdish language ( kirmanji dialect) seven stories were published ( fatfatok, zeng u , beng ,   zarafa u fil , kotirk u kore pire, alice li wareki sayer , ker dikilik and  Dreek  

Trainings

2-    A number of training course were organized about the principles of human   rights, democracy and civil society. 

A- A training course for two weeks (from January 3 - January15, 2004) in teachers’ preparation institute, central teachers' institute & college of Arts university of Duhok.

B- A training course of one week (January 17 -January 22, 2004) for the members of unions, syndicates& associations in Zakho about 60 members participated in it.

C- A training course of two weeks (February 7- February 21/2004) for security officers about 37 officers participated in it. 

3-     Participation of three members of the organization in the training course which started in Geneva (Switzerland) for two weeks (March, 15 – March, 29/2004).

4- The political week for the organization started on (July24 - July 29/2004) the Heads of the political parties in Duhok governorate were invited to discuss the future projects of Iraqi Kurdistan under the auspices of developing situations.

5- Training courses of women's lawful and social awareness.

A- Duhok (July 27- August7/2004) about 37 woman participated in the training   course.          

B-Aqrah (July29-August 9/2004) about 32 woman participated in the training course.  

C- Shekhan (July29-August 9/2004) about 30 woman participated in the training course.          

D-Zakho (July 31- August 10/2004) about 34 woman participated in the training course.          

6- A training course of two weeks   for human rights activists was opened on December, 4, 2004 about the process of observing the elections.

Workshops

7- Participating in a group of workshops.

A- The workshop which was held by counterpart in Erbil on March 18, 2004

B- The one which was held by Kurdistan women union on May 29/2004.

C- The workshop which was held by ASK in Erbil on (June 26-28 /2004)  

D- The workshop which was held by Amal Iraqi Association (February 26-27/2004).          

E- The economical workshop which was held by RTI every Saturday for six weeks and commenced on March /15/2004

F- The one which was hold by ZSVP in Duhok on December 18-19-2004 about the civil society.       

Conferences

8- Participation in the following conferences.

A- A conference of human rights in Geneva (March, 15-25, 2004).

 B- A conferences of Iraqi human rights organizations in Dokan (June 26-29,   2004).              

C- Participation in the national Iraqi council for selecting the temporary national council on August 15-18-2004. 

D- participation in human rights conference which was held by the ministry of Iraqi human rights in Duhok on September , 1-3, 2004.                     

E- participation in the cultural Kurdish – Arabic conference which was held in Erbil on (September, 17-20, 20040).     

F- Participation in the conference of reforming health system in Duhok on September, 20-21, 2004         

G- participation in the international conference of new tactics of human rights which was held in Ankara on September , 29 to  October, 2 , 2004 .           

H-Participation in the first conference of the civil society establishments which    was held by the ministry of the international society issues in Baghdad on (December, 19-20, 2004) 

Meetings

9- A seminar for discussion the Iraqi constitution and Kurdistan constitution in the University of Duhok on (March, 27, 2004).

10- Holding meetings with human rights organizations and civil society in Duhok & Erbil.

A- Holding regular meetings with (USAID) agency and its related departments  (OT I, RTI& DAI) for cooperating the implementation of projects.

B-  regular meetings with the organization which are working I  the fields of  observing the process of elections ( NDI,IFES,IRI) . 

C- Holding regular meetings with international committee Red Cross in Erbil &    Duhok.

D- Coordination and cooperation with the local organizations in  Duhok for implementing the projects.

E- Participation in all the workshops which were held by the national  democratic institute in Erbil about the observation of elections and qualifying cadres of local organization.  

F- Participation in the workshop of NDI which was held in Duhok on    August, 4, 2004.

G- Participation in the workshop of NDI which was held in Erbil on  September4, 5, 2004. 

H- in Duhok on September, 16, 2004.

I- in Erbil on September, 9-10, 2004

J- in Bghdad on October, 28, 2004.

K- in Erbil from 05- 07/12/ 2004.

11- Holding meetings with non governmental organization and political offices abroad.    

A- The representative of the organization had regular meetings with the representatives of Switzerland interior ministry during his visit to Switzerland.

B- There are regular contacts with a number of international organizations which concern human rights (International Service for Human Rights, Forefront & Mesopotamia).

12- The festival was held in Duhok on September 1, 2004 with the attendance of Mr., Bakhtair Ameen the minister of human rights and the governor of Duhok for rewarding the women who are human rights activists.

13- The second conference of the organization was held on October 28, 2004 for establishing a new administrative committee.

14- Media Activities concentrated on the following:-

A- Participation in presenting many T.V programs of local and  satellite channels.

B- Circulation a number of articles and journal interviews in local  and Iraqi newspapers                                       

15- Visits were paid to Dukok Prison and security office.

16- Regular visits were paid to Zewa center for displaced children, center of psychological cure for addicts& women's prison
