The organization participated in the foundational conference to Iraq Without
Violence Net (IWV) in Suleimaniya ,in coordinating with IFES from 01 –
02/08/2005 about discussing the internal procedures and system of the IWV Net.
The General Report of Activities for 2005
1. Monitoring Election Process and Constitutional Referendum.
Kurdistan Civil Rights Organization had performed a huge campaign in monitoring the election process and referendum on Iraqi constitution that had took place in 2005,in cooperation with a group of coalition NGOs in Duhok Govornorate and under the umbrella of EIN (Election Information Network). And about 500 observers participated in each process, as
· The Election of Iraqi National Assembly in 31/01/2005
· The referendum on Iraqi Constitution in 15/10/2005
· The Election of Parliament in 15/12/2005
2. Training Courses ,Workshops and Conferences:-
1. Participating in the workshop which was held by European Union (Election Support Project to Iraq) in Amman from 02 to 07/01/2005, and it was about Train of Trainers (TOT) and the mechanism of monitoring Election Process.
· Training Courses ,workshops and conferences held by EIN (Election Information Network)and in coordinating with National Democratic Institute NDI as follows:-
1. On Jan.10.2005 participating in the workshop organized be NDI (national Democratic Institute) in ERBIL, and it was about the mechanism of observing the Election Process.
2. On June.28.2005, participating in the National Conference which was held by EIN to all North, middle and south Coordinators in Baghdad about drawing up all the preparation to Referendum on Constitutional Process.
3. Participating in the Conference being organized by NDI in ERBIL on July.20.2005 about the way of forming constitution and the importance of Referendum.
4. On July.31.2005 participating in the workshop held by EIN in ERBIL about reviewing the final report of Monitoring Election Process of Iraqi National Assembly.
5. From 25 - 27 .09. 2005 taking part in the training course being organized by EIN and in coordinating with NDI in ERBIL to all coordinating NGOs of the North Region about setting programs and data entry to technique programmers.
6. Participating in the training course, which was held by EIN and in coordinating with NDI from 03 - 05.10.2005 in ERBIL about the preference principals of observers and the mechanism of observing the Referendum Process on Iraqi Constitution.
7. On November.15.2005 participating in the workshop which was held by EIN to CORE TEAMS of Coordinating NGOs and in cooperation with NDI to display the new structure of EIN and getting preparation for election process of 15/12/2005 and the particularity of selecting the observers.
8. Participating in the Training Course organized by EIN in Erbil and in coordinating with NDI from 03 - 04/12/2005 about Train of Trainers (TOT) in order to commence with preparation to Election Process and the mechanism of observers 'performance.
· Training Courses ,workshops and conferences held by Iraqi Civil Society Program ( ICSP ) ,as follows:
1. Participating in the workshop which was organized be ICSP in DUHOK from 23 - 24 /02/2005 about the methods of institution of legal proceedings, also about promoting the role of civil society establishment in the political life.
2. Participating in the workshop was held by ICSP in DUHOK from 07 - 24/03/2005 about the way of adapting staff for managing the training and also about Human Resources
3. Taking part in the workshop of ICSP in DUHOK from 18 - 19 /04/2005 about projects and time management.
4. Continuing on participating in series of ICSP workshops being held in DUHOK from 02 – 29/05/2005 about the following issues:
· Anti corruption
· Violence against woman
· Democracy and its role in community
· Setting up interior capability.
5. Participating in the training course that was organized by ICSP in ERBIL from 06 – 08/07/2005 about activation the role of civil society NGOS in forming human rights in new Iraqi constitution.
6. Participating in the conference was held by ICSP in DUHOK from 06 – 07/08/2005 about the importance of the Iraqi constitution and civil society.
7. Taking Part in the workshop was held by ICSP in ERBIL from 28 – 29/11/2005 about the law of the Law of the NGOs in Kurdistan.
· Training course and Conferences held by International Foundation of Election Systems (IFES).

Participating in the workshop which was organized by IFES in DUHOK in 22/09/2005
about Financial management .
3. Projects and programs:-
1. The organization executed a workshop in DUHOK governorate to a group of Women Unions and Civil society organization about ( Economic Development for Woman) from 13 – 16/06/2005.
2. Under the patronage of DUHOK governorate ,KCRO opened a training course of Political ,Lawful and Social Edification of Woman from 03 – 13/07/2005 in Duhok governorate to Women Unions and Civil society organization .
3. From July.11.2005 till 13/11/2005 , KCRO commenced its project in Duhok governorate about the Religious Tolerance among sects of Moslims ,Yazeidians and Christians and this program has been supervised by a group of specialist in religions and doctrines domain and were in 3 axes ,as follows:
Closed door Interviews .
Seminars with different kind of Public.
Direct TV programs .
4. In Cooperation and Coordinating with International Republic Institute IRI ,KCRO started to deliver a series of lectures and seminars about Referendum and Constitution and also about Elections 'edification , as follows :-
From 14/07/2005 to 04/08/2005 a number of Educational lectures were delivered
about Iraqi Constitution in Duhok, Sumail, Mangesh and Zawita areas.
From 07 – 14/10/2005 a number of educational lectures were delivered in Zakho ,Sumail,Mangesh
and Amedi areas about the Drafts of Iraqi Constitution and with its details .
From 05 – 14/12/2005 a series of lectures were delivered about Electoral
Edification in Duhok ,Sumail and Zakho areas .
5. In coordination with IRI ,the organization commenced a big campaign of distributing brochures and posters about the importance of taking part in Constitutional Referendum and the election process as following:
From 20- 26/08/2005 ,the organization started the distribution process to 4500
brochures and 3000 posters in all over Duhok Governorate.
From 05 – 14/12/2005 distributing brochures about the Electoral process ,under
the name ( it is important ,select in wisdom).
6. In coordination with National Foundation for Election System IFES ,KCRO commenced with its projects from 02/10/2005 to 07/12/2005 , about Termination the Violence during the Election process ,and was about designing 1000 posters and sticked it in Public places ,all over Duhok Governorate,
7. In coordination with Kurdish Institute for Elections KIE ,KCRO started its program about the Constitutional Dialogue ,from 20/09/2005 to 14/10/2005,and was about delivering a series of educational lectures .
4. Visits and Meetings:-
1. The head of the organization and some of the staff paid a visits to (Turkey ,Switzerland,Danish,and Italy), also had some meetings with official sides and civil society organization of the mentioned countries.
2. Hold meetings with Human Rights Organization in Duhok and Erbil for coordination of performing projects .
3. Visits were paid to American ,Swiss and Holland Embassies in Baghdad.
4. Hold meetings with a group of delegations that visited Kurdistan ,also meetings were arranged in Erbil in their main Offices .
5. Participating in the periodicity meetings which are being held by Duhok Governorate to NGOs assembly.
